Joule Motors B.V. was founded following a series of successful projects in the design and development of electric motors and motor controllers. The company’s first major project began in 2013 with the conversion of an Opel Agila into a fully electric vehicle. At that time, suitable motors were scarce, so I designed and built my own motor

Since then, our work has expanded across multiple industries, including marine systems, drones, motorcycles, satellite reaction wheels, boats, EDF propulsion, and many other applications. Today, Joule Motors B.V. develops high-performance, highly efficient electric motors tailored to a wide range of requirements — from compact 100 W units to large-scale systems delivering hundreds of kilowatts. Vesc based high voltage controllers followed, and today we have the highest powers level on the market.
